A Day in the Life:
The Director of Marketing Development will lead Marketing s involvement in new business efforts from a strategic marketing perspective. This role s goal is securing marketing program participation with new and existing clients to help drive property value/ROI. This associate is responsible for leading the Marketing Department s new business strategies through the pre-pitch, proposal, pitch and post-pitch processes.
What You ll Do:
Leads new business efforts from a strategic marketing perspective, including:
Pre-Pitch : Conduct research and/or assess market, asset and comps within an initial marketing strategy framework; be proficient in and utilize all relevant data resources within the new business department to create differentials/positioning.
Proposal : Consult on marketing questions for all RFPs, and provide high-level asset and market-specific strategic recommendations for designated proposals
Pitch : Travel to and represent Alliance Marketing at pitches to present and discuss tactical marketing recommendations.
Post-Pitch : Serve as main point of contact for clients relative to all marketing-related questions before client s transition in.
Assist with the transition in process for assignments won
Provide client and property background to strategy and account management teams, to include any marketing strategy materials/recommendations provided in pitch.
Introduce the client to the Alliance marketing process and their designated Marketing Account Manager, remaining a point of contact until transition in is complete to ensure a seamless on-boarding experience.
Communicate with operators, strategy and account management teams on pitches involving clients with properties in their existing portfolio.
