Position Summary: CEB is a legal publisher and continuing legal education provider serving primarily lawyers practicing in California. CEB produces, in print and electronic format, a variety of practice tools containing legal information and knowledge for practicing lawyers.
The Marketing Associate will help us develop stellar marketing and sales enablement content to help grow our legal community. Our Marketing Associate will own multiple projects on our editorial calendar, and create a number of different types of content spanning from blog posts to email campaigns to sales playbooks. Our ideal Marketing candidate has 2-3+ years of experience in marketing communications, marketing research, or journalism and is comfortable writing about customer solutions content without jargon or complexity.

Independently proposing, developing and carrying out product positioning, copy approaches and content development, and contributing to design direction in order to effectively implement integrated marketing campaigns. Campaigns may include some are all: emails, web pages, social media posts, paid media ads, and print.
Adapting campaigns based on sales analyses to create pieces that effectively implement direct marketing strategies.
Collaborating with other members of the Marketing team, internal stakeholders and contributors, and external contributors, in the creation of effective marketing projects and campaigns.
Keeping apprised of assigned practice areas and products, new technologies, and current marketing techniques to create accurate and effective projects and campaigns.
Manage out vendor resources as needed (design, writing, printing, paid media)
Job Requirements Good working knowledge of marketing techniques, strategies, standards, and terminology.
Experience developing marketing campaigns
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve marketing department goals.
Facility with language and knack for inventive, creative copy.
Excellent communication skills and experience managing input from a wide variety of stakeholders
Familiarity with design and production processes.
Knowledge of standard proofreading marks and procedures.
Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat programs.
Ability to challenge conventional thinking to deliver innovative recommendations Required
