Essential Job Duties:
The candidate will provide strategic direction and execute a marketing and communications plan that promotes and inspires participation in NC State Counseling Center and Prevention Services’ programs and services. Specific responsibilities include:
Serve as the chief NC State University Counseling Center and Prevention Services marketing and communications officer. Responsible for strategic development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications plan.
Develop a consistent brand image for department that is innovative and dynamic and reflective of NC State University in all pieces.
Leads department capital campaign and annual giving development marketing and communications efforts for students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of NC State University Recreation.
Work with individual project leaders in developing and implementing marketing programs and materials to attract and retain participants through a variety of media including but not limited to print, web and social media.
Conceptualizes, executes and oversees the creation of all marketing, communications and print material on behalf of NC State University Counseling Center and Prevention Services.
Assist as needed in all required departmental functions.
Proficiency with Adobe graphic design suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop;
Experience with video and video editing software;
Experience with web content management systems;
Demonstrated knowledge of national trends and best practices in marketing and communications;
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with initiative, critical and creative thinking;
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop partnerships and work effectively as a member of a fast-paced, results-oriented team;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Demonstrated experience organizing and developing leaders through practical application and learning;
Demonstrated success managing, supervising, and mentoring student employees;
Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and commitment to diversity and inclusion;
Commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles
Master's degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field;
At least two years of progressively responsible professional experience in marketing;
Experience in higher education marketing setting.
