Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing the Marketing Programs Manager is an integral member of the Marketing & Communications team, developing, managing and executing marketing plans. Conceptualizing and developing strategic marketing plans is essential to success. This position will work with multiple stakeholders within the university including admissions, clinics, continuing education alumni, student services or campus store to advise, conceptualize, develop and implement integrated marketing communications plans through traditional and digital communications campaigns, community, business outreach and public relations opportunities. This role will develop proactive marketing plans and initiatives to drive brand awareness, generate and nurture leads for academic and other business and community programs. The role will also explore and build strategies and tactics from paid and earned media, develop content, and work with graphic designers, printers, events planners, advertising and marketing and web agencies, public relations partners and others.

Scope of this role:
This position requires the ability to organize and lead people and process without the benefit of formal reporting relationships. It must lead through the development of creative ideas and comprehensive marketing plans, and have the skills necessary to efficiently execute those ideas through a combination of resources within the Marketing Department and across other areas of the University. The Marketing Programs Manager role requires advanced skills and experience in marketing consulting, allowing this role to understand the business objectives of each area of the University and consult on effective strategies and tactics to help achieve those business objectives. This role works at a strategic level to define business objectives and marketing plans, and then at a tactical level to execute. The ability to manage through multiple competing priorities, often under tight time lines is essential to success.
Bachelor's degree (Required) or Master's degree (preferred) in the fields of marketing, business, communication or journalism
5+ years of experience in higher education, corporate marketing, or other progressive marketing venue. This position must have experience across a broad range of media at both a strategic and tactical level, must understand workflow management in a marketing environment and understand how to organize and lead collaborative, interdependent teams
Experience in merchandising, e-commerce, and analytics is a plus
