CLEF is seeking dynamic Coordinators of Marketing and Enrollment to serve in select Chicago Lutheran elementary schools that we support. The Coordinator of Marketing and Enrollment is a newly created part-time position that will serve as a key member of the school administrative team. He or she will oversee all external communications and develop and execute a plan to increase enrollment. This position reports to the school principal and will interact extensively with parents, teachers, volunteers and other school stakeholders.
Please note that each position will be employed directly by a school. We are seeking candidates for schools in the Rogers Park, Logan Square, Lakeview and Lincoln Square neighborhoods in Chicago.
Responsibilities of the Role
Creates and implements a comprehensive strategy aimed at increasing and maintaining enrollment
Works with the principal to identify activities and incentives to maximize student recruitment and retention
Coordinates student or staff-led tours for all prospective families
Identifies and trains Parent Ambassadors to lead tours, speak at church services, and assist in parent workshop and family center event planning
Coordinates the publication of all promotional materials, including newsletters, signage, flyers and school promotional items
Creates overall marketing plan to track publications, flyers and social media, ad and email campaigns.
Serves as the primary media liaison, focusing on the writing and submission of press releases, photos, social media posts, and ads
Assists in the maintenance and design of the school’s website, including teacher/class updates and development and special event updates
Organizes church and community relations activities such as flyer distribution, parent presentations, local and school event participation, etc.
Attends local community meetings (Chamber of Commerce, alderman, etc.) and/or visits offices to promote school
Provides marketing related status reports to key stakeholders (e.g. school board, CLEF and other as needed.
Daytime schedule with occasional evening/weekend hours for school and community meetings and events
Ability to work with students and families from diverse communities
Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suites
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to take direction, work independently, balance competing priorities, show initiative and produce results
Personal qualities of professionalism and integrity
Commitment to CLEF’s mission of supporting quality Christian education
Bilingual Spanish a plus for at least one location
