The Assistant Director of Enrollment Marketing collaborates closely with and supports the Director of Enrollment Marketing to advance strategic awareness, positioning, and to reach enrollment goals for the 100-plus academic programs at Teachers College, Columbia University, including on-campus degree programs, advanced certificates and a growing number of for-credit online programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a select portfolio of academic offerings and liaise with program directors and other key constituents in an effort to develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing plans targeting the prospective student audience for Teachers College.
This position will have day-to-day responsibility for designing, managing, implementing and assessing marketing initiatives across multiple digital and print channels, including all aspects of digital advertising, as well as performance assessment and optimization.
The incumbent will have excellent planning, project management, copy-writing, and technical skills, with deep knowledge of and experience with digital advertising, preferably with lead acquisition campaigns for higher education institutions.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations or a related field and five years of related professional experience;
Experience executing marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including digital and print, to achieve expressed goals;
Proven project management skills with experience balancing multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets;
Strong grasp of social media, pay per click (PPC), software platforms and tools as well as of multimedia including video and Podcasting.
Ability to process and prioritize heavy workload and work efficiently;
Established record of collaboration and good interpersonal and communication skills with diverse internal and external constituents;
Experience compiling reports, building charts and graphs and displaying results in compelling ways;
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and other design and photo editing programs;
Strong writer, communicator, and collaborator;
Knowledge of HTML and web content management systems.
Experience working in higher education a plus!
