2+ years of marketing and/or sales experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills, organization, presentation and listening skills
Ability to make an excellent first impression and develop sound, enduring relationships with a broad range of people
Must work well individually and in a team environment
Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite of products (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, presentation)
Experience in a collegiate or professional athletics marketing environment
Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
Essential Functions and percent of time::
40% – Create and implement marketing plans designed to increase attendance, revenue and general support for WSU athletic teams. This includes, but is not limited to, advertising, fan experience, in-game promotions and social media. 25% – Responsible for the design of marketing, promotional, and recruiting materials for athletic events and teams 15% – Identify and develop business partnerships with community groups, students, university departments, alumni, and other organizations to aid WSU Athletics marketing and sales efforts. 15% – Direct and oversee the internship program. 5% – Perform other duties as assigned
