Northwestern University is seeking a Temporary Admissions and Marketing Coordinator for the Chicago campus.
Temporary Job Description:
The Temporary Admissions and Marketing Coordinator supports admissions and marketing initiatives to recruit qualified students and grow enrollment in the Master of Science in Health Communication (MSHC) Program. The Admissions and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning recruitment events, managing outreach to prospective and admitted students, facilitating strategic marketing initiatives, and supporting admissions and marketing processes. This position will require occasional work in the evenings and on Saturdays for program events and classes.
Please note: Some Saturday and evening work required to support class and events. Occasionally moving materials – 25 pounds at a maximum.

Budget & Financial
Recruitment & Admissions
Phone, email, and in-person outreach to prospective and admitted students
Design and distribute prospective and admitted student materials
Collect applicant information and materials and distribute to faculty and staff for reviews
Enter admitted students into student enterprise system (CAESAR) and prepare them for registration
Maintain admitted student portal website in Canvas
Connect alumni and current students with prospective students.
Marketing & Communications
Supports strategic marketing initiatives with direction from Assistant Director of Marketing and Communication including digital and traditional initiatives.
Implements social media plan for MSHC.
Enters data and generates reports in CRM.
Develops and coordinates admissions, recruitment, and alumni events.
Ensures that event details including communication, venues, presenters, travel arrangements, materials, refreshments and technology are arranged and completed in an appropriate and timely manner.
Help to plan and execute MSHC graduation.
Assessment & Strategic Planning
Coordinates the collection, analysis & reporting of information for admissions, marketing, and alumni surveys.
Ensure a smooth transition from admissions to enrollment and Orientation, which may include assisting with course registration and creating and organizing student folders.
Help to advise the Student Ambassadors and Social Media Team.
Occasionally attend the Saturday class day to ensure a positive student experience throughout the program.
Ensure contractors are paid on a timely basis. Resolve issues as they arise.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree.
1 year admissions, marketing, or program administration experience.
Previous higher education experience.
Previous event planning experience.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive information.
Exhibits sound judgement and discretion.
Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize in an efficient and productive manner with attention to detail.

Experience working in university admissions.
Experience working in marketing.
Experience working with professional programs and graduate students.
