St. George’s University (SGU) is a Private Equity owned University. No other medical school in the world provides more new doctors to the US healthcare system. SGU is looking for a summer intern to drive strategic initiatives related to refining the go-to-market strategy for the medical school. This includes gaining insight on perspective students, business process re-engineering, developing marketing collateral, and automation through CRM. This paid internship will be based out of the Great River office on Long Island.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Gain high level insight into the day-to-day operations of leading strategic initiatives in support of SGU’s strategic vision and goals.
Create an impact on the business while providing hands-on marketing experience designed to elevate the marketing strategy for the medical school.
Engage your marketing knowledge into business practice to spearhead in elevating marketing efforts.
Build relationships and analyze the prospective student mindset, turning findings into compelling marketing collateral.
Investigate and examine data to support in streamlining business processes through automation and efficient workflows.
Play a critical role in executing initiatives to strengthen our brand awareness amongst students and parents.
Conclude your summer experience by presenting your project key findings and results to senior leadership.
Currently enrolled in a MBA program.
Interested in areas including, but not limited to: Marketing, Communications, Marketing Research, Management, International Business, Business Administration.
Desire to pursue a career in strategic management.
Strong problem solving, decision making and strategic analysis skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task between competing priorities.
Demonstration of business acumen.
Critical thinker who thrives in an every changing, high-profile environment.
Ability to complete a 8 week program beginning in May 2019.
Reports into the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives within the Growth & Strategy division.
Paid 8 week summer internship program.
Must provide full work availability during normal office hours, 9am – 5pm.
Position to be based in Great River, New York.
