Job Purpose As it powers ahead with investments in Australia, Japan and plans to look into China, Asia is expected to become a USD$1 billion market for the Company in the next few years. Given the ambition to unlock future growth, there is a need to bring on board a competent and high caliber corporate marketing leader to lead the business and ensure it delivers to its potential. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Corporate Marketing, and working closely with the President for the APAC, s/he will be responsible for developing, activating, and managing all aspects of marketing for the Cognizant brand in the APAC region. In a market driven by technological convergence and increasing consumer expectations of brand leaders within the space, this newly established role will bring insight, vision, coordination and influence to the full range of brand-building activities for the Cognizant corporate brand. Within the first year, the successful candidate will be expected to draw upon the support of all the country leaders, establish a "start-up mentality" towards marketing strategy, hire a small "crack" team of professionals, bring on board the necessary external agencies and vendors, and execute global programmes locally. Key Accountabilities ? Develop and execute the marketing strategy for Cognizant and manage different channels of communication. ? Build a team in-region to drive brand narratives in the marketplace and do so by partnering with country business leaders across the APAC region. ? Ensure that Cognizant's brand identity and framework in the APAC region is in conjunction with the company's value proposition, market dynamics and customer needs. ? Internally, manage cross-functional relationships with efficiency and energy and build the 'right buzz' in the environment around the brand and proposition. ? Partner closely with global and regional stakeholders, and drive full alignment between marketing strategy and APAC business objectives. ? Lead Cognizant's digital capabilities, expressing the brand through social engagement and other non-traditional channels. ? Provide strong leadership with a focus on attracting, motivating, and developing best-in-class talent. Team Structure Initially supported by country specific leaders, including local on-the-ground marketing people focused on tactical issues, the successful candidate will initially draw upon support from US and European teams, and take full advantage of their marketing assets, and focus on building top line branding capabilities in the region. S/he will hire 1-2 team members within the first year, while establishing partnerships with brand agencies & consultants to leverage appropriate support. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is proven corporate marketing evangelist, with track record of ensuring operational excellence of technology delivery, impactful development around new technology platforms and digital innovation initiatives across APAC. S/he will bring experience from a leading, transformative, B2B technology-centric companies whose track records have raised the bar in branding and communications. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working within a corporate matrix – adept at leading large organisations within a matrix structure. In addition, s/he will be a role model for the Cognizant's values, and possess impeccable personal and professional integrity as well as work ethics.
