Financial Management Association International (FMA) seeks a full-time Membership, Marketing, and Communications (MMC) Manager. The MMC Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of membership/communications and membership initiatives under the direction of the Executive Director.
SUMMARY: The Membership, Marketing, and Communications Manager supports membership recruitment and retention; maintains and strengthens the FMA brand; manages communication to members, external shareholders, and the broader public; and maintains the membership database and website.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee maintenance of and act as a technical lead for membership and marketing database
Create, implement, and track results of email and mail marketing campaigns for conferences, programs, member services, and membership recruitment/renewal
Write and track results of regularly scheduled communications including weekly student news brief, monthly membership newsletter, and monthly staff newsletter
Create and maintain resources for key member groups including doctoral students, early career faculty, and undergraduate students
Maintain and implement marketing and communications strategy that includes:
Website content - continuous updates and addition of new content
Videos - maintenance of the association's YouTube Channel
Social media - active engagement and maintenance of the association's Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts
Design collateral for conferences and programs with brand consistency
Develop and implement membership recruitment and renewal strategies
Collaborate with academic partners to coordinate programs and events that support key member groups including early career faculty
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, database management and program/project management.
Expert knowledge of association management software (e.g., MemberClicks, YourMembership, Abila) or customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strict attention to detail
Proven ability to plan ahead, make effective use of time, coordinate multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in nonprofit and/or academic environment
