MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR , Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) , to work with the Internet Policy Research Initiative (IPRI) to manage the group's communications, web presence, and video production. Will produce and disseminate engaging content for the website, media outreach, social media, internal communications, and other communications efforts; work with the group's leadership and others to create and coordinate website content, help amplify the group's messaging, and expand its brand; track, analyze, and report on website and social media interactions; perform day-to-day marketing, communication, and logistical management; coordinate events; and perform a range of other duties.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field; three years' communications/marketing experience, preferably in science and/or technology fields; some technical understanding of the computer science field; excellent writing, editorial, content development, proofreading, copy-editing, and fact-checking skills; strong research and interviewing skills; solid understanding of Google Docs; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator Photoshop), and WordPress; competency using and managing social networking channels (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram LinkedIn); experience developing, managing, posting, and editing website content using a content management system (WordPress); knowledge of web content strategies and best practices; proficiency with desktop publishing and web-based social media products; attention to detail and presentation; ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing demands, deliver high quality results, and meet deadlines; self-motivation and willingness to learn; excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills; and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment. Knowledge of/experience with university research/graduate studies and/or technology transfer; interest in computer science and artificial intelligence; and website development experience preferred.
