Hylton Performing Arts Center Marketing Assistant
The George Mason University Hylton Performing Arts Center seeks a part-time Marketing Assistant to support its marketing efforts. Ongoing tasks may include supporting outreach efforts, assisting with social media, coordinating marketing for special projects, and assisting with audience engagement activities. Other possible tasks include coordinating email marketing using Constant Contact, researching and conducting grassroots marketing efforts, proofreading marketing materials, coordinating the distribution of marketing materials.
Some arts and/or marketing experience;
Strong writing and editing skills;
Substantial knowledge of social media;
Knowledge of online advertising;
Fluency in Microsoft Office; and
Ability to independently manage a project.
Experience with an e-mail marketing product such as Constant Contact; and
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
This position is 15 hours per week through the month of August with the possibility of becoming permanent. Hours are somewhat flexible, Mon-Fri daytime. Position is on the campus of George Mason University in Prince William County (Science and Technology Campus).
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
