RESPONSIBILITIES: Central College’s department of Economics, Accounting, and Management (EAM) seeks a lecturer or senior lecturer for a non-tenure line appointment beginning August 2018. This position includes the possibility of renewal. Successful candidates will possess an MBA, PhD, or DBA and have strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting.
Our new colleague will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate students principles of marketing and additional courses in marketing and management. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate teaching and have an understanding of and appreciation for the liberal arts environment. All faculty at Central are also supported to pursue scholarly activities in publishing, research, and professional endeavors.
The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Management at Central College offers majors in accounting, business management, and economics In collaboration with the mathematics/computer science department, the department also offers majors in actuarial science and information systems. The faculty at Central interact in an academically stimulating and congenial environment with a focus on student success. Over 96% of graduates within these majors are employed within 6 months of graduation and 94% of students complete at least one internship before graduation.
