Carry out a full range of graduate and continuing education recruitment activities including recruitment/outreach and marketing. Serve as the first-line of contact for prospective graduate and continuing education students. Maintain prospective graduate and continuing education student information and processes for tracking and reporting key data. Manage additional admissions projects assigned by the Director of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Director of Graduate and Continuing Education in developing and implementing plans for tracking inquiries and preparing periodic reports for the Graduate Program Directors, Department Chairs and other office staff members.
Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns initiatives
Assist in identifying potential markets for articulation agreements as well as for student recruitment and marketing according to programs and workforce sectors, i.e., police, fire, correctional, military, IT, government agencies, labor unions, etc.
Recruit new students by identifying new markets, developing alumni networks; evaluating recruiting techniques and materials; interviewing prospective students; and initiating campaigns to induce students to attend the university. Assist in developing marketing campaigns and materials that are consistent with the Salve brand.
Manage the Graduate and Continuing Education Facebook, Twitter and Linked in accounts, keeping information current and relevant.
Represent the University and attend as well as conduct presentations, as needed, open houses, career and recruitment fairs, visits to military bases, businesses, conventions, community colleges, etc. in order to promote SRU graduate studies and continuing education programs.
Conduct and participate in both in- and out-of-state recruitment activities including regular travel to Miami Dade College to recruit students with our articulation agreement (e.g. college fairs, corporate recruiting events, information sessions, open houses, etc.).
Create all inquiry communications in our CRM, Slate, including functionality such as liquid mark-ups and conditional logic for dynamic messaging. Work closely with team members and leadership to achieve successful results on all established individual and departmental goals and key enrollment indicators.
Maintain documentation of inquiry management workflow.
Oversee the entry of information into the graduate Slate CRM system.
Track prospective student lifecycle as they progress through the recruitment funnel.
Work with program directors to convert inquiries into applications and enrollments.
Support non-matriculated students on registration issues and applying to the graduate and continuing education programs.
This position supervises Graduate Assistants and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees.
Must be able to lift and carry recruitment materials
Must hold office hours at Salve Regina University's Newport campus
Must be willing to work some Saturdays, Sundays and evenings
Must be willing to travel, including out of state and overnight, as required for recruitment purposes. Position may require up to 25% travel.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT
Must have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle.
When the incumbent is not traveling, this job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers. This position could, on occasion, require bending, reaching, ascending and descending stairs, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing. The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree preferred. Recruitment and marketing/social media experience required. Experience with developing creative recruitment strategies that led to an increase in student enrollment strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated public relations skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty, students and a wide variety of administrative offices. Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Excellent telephone and editing skills required. Must be a self-starter and problem solver. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of an office team. Some travel with some evening, night and weekend work is required. Must have the ability to handle stress in a busy office atmosphere. Supervisory experience is preferred. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
