The Associate Director - Marketing & Communications, reports to the Associate Vice President of Cooperative Education and Career Development, and plays an integral team role in planning, coordinating and producing the programming and events for the CCD department, in order to build stronger brand recognition, both internally and externally. This position will work with institutional Mar/Com to insure consistency of branding, messaging and other related marketing and outreach activities.
As a primary point of contact for the department, the Associate Director will focus on creating, designing and implementing marketing materials and craft initiatives to promote employer facing services including: the co-op program, full-time recruiting, internships, career fairs, industry networking and panel discussions, and other employer-partner branding events and activities. The Associate Director will ensure the websites are updated regularly to reflect all current services and programs and will work with the social media committee to develop and implement the appropriate social media marketing strategies. She will work with the Associate Vice President and Directors to plan professional development workshops for the combined departments and the co-op faculty and staff.
The Associate Director will collaborate with the Directors of Career Development and Employer Relations to develop materials including PowerPoint presentations for use with both internal and external constituents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Seasonal evening work and weekend work is necessary and expected. Some travel may be required.
A minimum of 10 years work experience is required; candidates need prior experience in an external, customer-facing role.
Knowledge of career recruiting environment, marketing and event planning is mandatory. Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
Individual must demonstrate strong written and communication skills; organization skills; the ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail; a motivated/enthusiastic work style; and the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint) is expected. WordPress knowledge a plus.
