Overview: Do you have a passion for working in an environment that will push you to do the best work you can each day? Do you have firm understanding of team work and time management? If you hate sitting in a cube farm and have been thinking about making a life change away from non-industrialized cube agriculture, you might be the person we’ve been looking for to fill our Planning and Ops Manager position.
We’re searching for an industrious Planning and Ops Manager with 2+ years of agency experience who knows the ropes of Fortune 100 clients, processes, controls, but finds those burdens as opportunities to be even more creative in getting the work done. The candidate will be primarily focused on helping ensure our account and creative teams have the most time possible to get projects done and to our impossible standard. Knowing full well that when the job is done, it’s the best product possible we can give to our clients. He or she will be able to coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are on task or need to be discussed, re-approached or expedited.
Position objective: Schedule and oversee daily tasks on a smaller scale, while managing projects on a larger scale to achieve quantifiable end objectives.
Responsibilities: • Incredibly detailed project management skills (you love you some Gantt charts), including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines despite every obstacle being in your way. • Professional communication with both clients and team members. • Provide timely high-level updates on project status and successes. • Developing complex and intricately-woven strategies across multiple lines of business and tying them into one cohesive tactical plan that actually helps customers buy our clients’ products.
Required skills and qualifications: • Minimum 2+ years of project management experience in an agency environment. • Strong relationship-building skills. You care about people first, not the work. • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. You know what AP-style is and when people don’t use it you feel the need to bring them into the 21st century. • Proactive approach in communicating with team members – early, active and often. • Not just capable, but you thrive on adapting to change, managing multiple tasks to achieve one end goal and continuously evaluating priorities to lead tasks/projects to completion. • The ability to fail. To share with others why they failed and grow personally from failures. Seriously. That’s not a cliché here. You don’t learn from your successes. You learn from getting your butt kicked.
