Schaeffler, a dynamic global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support our North America Automotive Aftermarket Division in Valley City, Ohio, 20 miles southwest of Cleveland.
The Marketing Specialist is a highly creative and strategic position that is accountable for driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with critical skills in marketing, PR, communications and project management. Clear communication skills are required for working with outside vendors and colleagues to execute on objectives. This person will be instrumental in the development and implementation of brand and live marketing activities to support brand development, product introductions and communication objectives.
The Automotive Aftermarket supplies distributors and independent workshops with replacement parts in OE quality for all vehicle classes and a comprehensive range of services worldwide. It also promotes qualification and specialist knowledge about its brands and products, and provides support with marketing. Work directly with internal and external teams in the development of effective communication tools that successfully elevate our unique value propositions.
Works with Marketing Manager on content development and execution of marketing, advertising, promotional activities and campaigns.
Limited domestic and international travel required to support marketing activities and events. (approximately 10%)
Support the regional marketing team with additional marketing and administrative tasks as necessary to meet departmental objectives and requirements (approximately 15%)

Bachelors degree in business management with a focus on communications, journalism or marketing
Minimum 4 years professional experience required working in a marketing or communications environment with a demonstrated increase of responsibilities
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to identify solutions and take appropriate action to resolve moderately complex issues
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and perform numerous tasks simultaneously is needed.
Outstanding communication and writing skills are essential.
Motivated and energetic self-starter with a positive, inclusive, and creative outlook and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment is vital.
Proven ability to manage internal and external client expectations is mandatory.
Demonstrated effective and appropriate intercultural skills is necessary; knowledge of automotive industry and aftermarket focus is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate or advanced skill level required including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
German or Spanish language proficiency desirable, but not required.
