Ball State University is accepting applications for a professional position as Lead Marketing Strategist.
Major responsibilities: The lead marketing strategist for the Division of Online and Distance Education is responsible for developing strategy and executing marketing and communications initiatives and deliverables for academic departments with the intention of meeting established enrollment goals for online students and enhancing the Ball State brand. This person relies on audience behavior and research data for decision making. This person is tasked with project management, coordination with academic units and vendors, marketing plan development (including program-based marketing initiatives and consultation, web/digital/social media marketing strategies, message development, data analysis, and creative media planning). This person also assists with initiatives related to communicating with internal audiences.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, business, or other related field from an accredited college or university.
At least three years proven experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects. Demonstrated proficiency in leading marketing projects.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated comfort level with learning new technologies.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, business, or related field.
Experience in higher education and knowledge of adult learners. Experience with a CRM, web technologies, and social media. Demonstrated ability to work with graphic design software such as InDesign or Photoshop.
