RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement will work with the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations on the immediate and long-range marketing and fan engagement efforts of the department. The primary responsibilities of the position will be to develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to increase attendance at home events, create and organize advertising campaigns, coordinate and manage game day event operations and write game scripts, manage community relations events; serve as a liaison to University student organizations and community groups for Ohio Athletics. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree preferred. A minimum of one year of collegiate athletic marketing or related field experience required. The candidate should demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills; be proficient in graphic design and a variety of software products; demonstrate the ability to work on projects individually, as well as within a team; be able to handle multiple tasks at one time and have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
The candidate must display the highest of ethical standards and commitment to the overall success of Ohio Athletics. The candidate is expected to act within the parameters of institutional control and is responsible for conducting all activities in compliance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Ohio University rules and regulations.
