Summary/Purpose of Position:This position is responsible for facilitating and fulfilling requested activities that promote FRWC including all aspects of Marketing, Membership and Public Relations.Specific/Mandatory DutiesThe essential responsibilities of this position include but are not necessarily limited to the following:Marketing Associate•Handle a wide variety of situations and matters, confidentially and sensitively as appropriate, which come to the office of the CMO, so as to aid, assist, and support the role and function of the office and its internal and external image. •Video a variety of subjects based on the need at any given time.•Serve as video editor•Locate, create and/or file records, related documents and background or historical information pertaining to matters being dealt with by the CMO.•Develop and maintain all appropriate reference, filing and retrieval systems required by the office. Update and purge files as appropriate.•Prepare, for signature, all the appropriate EAF and other forms with the necessary attachments as per FR’s Financial Policy/Rules Document.•Utilize strong interpersonal skills to interact and maintain excellent relations with all individuals from all levels within the organization, and with clients, customers and members of the public outside the organization.•Complete assignments in a timely, accurate, and organized manner.•May work in hot and humid conditions outside and may work in cold and rainy conditions.•Regular and dependable attendance is required.•Available to work on weekends and holidays.•Be available for after-hours and weekend call out in the event of special projects or events•Ensure compliance with Employee Handbook, Risk Management Plan, Financial Policies and Procedures Manual, all other safety rules & procedures, the company vision, mission and goals.In all areas – other duties as assignedThe secondary responsibilities of the Marketing Associate include but are not necessarily limited to the following:•Maintain a working understanding and close relationship with the Membership Department•Interface with all FRWC departments for comprehensive position fulfillment•Ability to ‘fill-in’ as needed in Membership, guests relations, special events•Interact and represent FRWC to external parties and in/for media
Work Requirements: Usually a 5-day work week, often requiring flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays. Irregular scheduling in which days may exceed a normal work day. Work holidays as scheduled by Department, with consideration given consistent with company leave policy. •Familiarity with PC’s and competent with Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, Adobe, and Microsoft Word•Be proficient in or able to learn working understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, etc.•Ability to be self-motivated•Strong communication skills•Ability to work with and for multiple supervisors and maintain open communications among and between same
Fossil Rim Wildlife Center (“Fossil Rim” or “the Company”) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 entity situated on approximately 1700 acres of land, specializing in captive breeding programs for indigenous and exotic endangered and threatened species of animals. It is one of a very few private, non-zoo facilities that meet the strict standards set for accreditation by the American Association Zoos and Aqua...riums (AZA). To help fund its conservation and education programs, we operate various on-site revenue-generating activities as well as carry out fund-raising in a variety of forms including a membership program. This position will be based at the Head Quarters of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, approximately 4 miles SW of Glen Rose off US Hwy 67, Somervell County, Texas. Fossil Rim is located in a hilly, wooded, rural setting which makes for a green and healthy working environment. Glen Rose is a small rural town with a population of ~2,900.
