Job Description
Responsibilities

The account manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities for our clients. These activities will include counseling clients and defining their communications strategies; trade and business media relations and media strategy development; creating and driving implementation of communication plans; writing and editing press releases and other media-focused collateral. The account manager will monitor account profitability, measure client results and also be charged with driving new business development. The account manager will report to the office head responsible for all strategic initiatives for the group. In addition, the account manager also will be responsible for mentoring junior team members and/or interns.


Requirements
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of public relations, marketing or related experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets and teams independently and confidently. They will bring strong consumer/hospitality and technology industry experience and valued insight to the firm and to our clients. They will manage day-to-day client and media relations through some delegation to account teams, while leading the account. They will assist in the development and implementation of communications plans, working closely with senior staff. The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills and an in-depth knowledge of the technology industry.
